• What is Thermabate? - Thermabate is a uPVC extrusion with a fibre-free rigid thermoset urethane (PUR) core, for use in England and Wales only. It is used to maintain continuous insulation around window and door openings in masonry cavity walls, and has a thermal conductivity of 0.034 W/mK.
• Where do Cavity Closers go? - A cavity closer fits within a cavity wall, where windows and doors are fitted. Cavity closers are required for a number of reasons within a building to protect it from various factors, including water ingress, damp, heat loss and condensation.
